On this site, you will find several different visual explorations using different media. Although I consider myself primarily a printmaker-I see printmaking as both a process of transferring ink from one surface to another and as a metaphor for the human experience of transferring an impression or emotion to others, through interaction, creating, or conversing-I have been exploring other forms of artistic expression.
I have found that, very often, the process of exploration is as meaningful as a "finished" composition. In that spirit, and in an effort to share true expressions with honesty, I chose to present a variety of different images. I believe this will help viewers experience the successful compositions as well as the explorations that helped inspire them. I also think it will remind you that I am human. That the imperfection in art is the perfection. And that I am willing to really put myself out there with a little confidence and a little fear. After all, that is what it is to be a true artist.
